Located in Flagstone, St Bonaventure’s College welcomes students from different backgrounds, cultures, and learning abilities, creating an environment that celebrates diversity and promotes understanding. St Bonaventure’s College is planned to have an OSHC (Outside School Hours Care) service on site run by Catholic Early EdCare and is fortunate to receive strong support from key stakeholders in the Catholic education community, including Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE), Regents Park Catholic Parish and the Queensland Catholic Education Commission (QCEC).
Brisbane Catholic Education, as the governing body provides essential administrative and operational support to St Bonaventure’s College. Their collaboration enables the College to deliver a high-quality, faith-based education to students across the region.
Regents Park Catholic Parish, with its commitment to the mission of “being a vibrant community that actively accompanies people to encounter Jesus”, supports the College community by offering spiritual guidance and walking alongside those who are open to a personal relationship with Jesus. Our parish values being; Christ-centred, joyful, relationship-centred, courageous, generous, and authentic.
St Bonaventure’s College will draw upon the characteristics of Franciscan Identity. The community will be supported to live the Franciscan tradition in all they do through prayer,
service and in kinship with creation. Franciscan education is in the service of becoming ‘good people’, men and women of integrity who are equipped with a sensitive moral compass, the ability to discern what is of real and of enduring value, and a commitment to live whole and healthy lives.
QCEC, as the peak body representing Catholic schools in Queensland, provides guidance, expertise, and advocacy to ensure St Bonaventure’s College aligns with the broader goals and values of Catholic education.
Together, BCE, Regents Park Catholic Parish, and QCEC form a strong network of support that enables St Bonaventure’s College to thrive and fulfill its vision and mission.
